👉 Why VIP Matters in MY Events:

The Part Nobody Tells You

Gonna be a long one, but it’s worth reading… I have heard that so many times before: 'Why should I upgrade to VIP? Why spend money? No need, I'm fine being a regular contributor.'

Let me tell you: you might think you’re fine as a regular contributor, but most people miss the actual point of being inside an event — and I don’t want you to be one of them.

Whether you are doing a bundle for the very first time or have done 100, I still want to take a moment to actually explain what you are part of and why certain things exist the way they do.

I can’t expect you to magically know how a bundle works if nobody has ever shown you the mechanics behind it, so here is the reality from the host’s side and I am not called the ‘Mama of Bundles’ for nothing 😉

If you’ve known me for a while, you know I care about my contributors… sometimes more than they care about themselves (or about me 😉), and I want everyone to get the best out of every event.

Hey, I'm Bettina Wiesen,

the 'Mama' of Bundles!

When you submit your gift, your part is basically done.
My part starts.

When I host an event, it’s not “upload a few gifts and done.”

I build the entire thing from scratch:

I create all landing pages, structure the categories, test every single link, sign up to every resource myself to make sure delivery works, set up all automations, create all promo graphics for contributors, write the full swipe file package, prepare the promotional material so you can simply plug it into your channels, build the gift pages, check formatting, handle the tech integrations, make sure everything is legally compliant, fix submission issues, chase missing information, organise contributors, answer questions, and keep the entire project moving so it doesn’t stall halfway through.

None of this is visible to you, but it’s the reason the event works for everyone involved.

We are not talking hours here, but 5 full days… before the event goes even live!

Now, the part I really want you to understand is how subscriber behaviour works inside a bundle.

When someone signs up and lands on the gift page with 30+, 50+ or even 100+ resources, they are not calmly analysing every offer.

They scan quickly, click what they see first, maybe grab two or three things that catch their eye, and move on with their day. This is not a reflection of you or your gift. This is simply how people behave online when they are given a lot of choices at once.

Because visibility is naturally split across many contributors, your positioning inside the bundle matters more than most beginners realise. And that is why I even offer a VIP upgrade in the first place – not as a money-maker, not as some unnecessary add-on, but because it structurally changes how and where you appear in the event.

When you upgrade to VIP in most of my events, you don’t just get “a bit more visibility.” You get a completely different position inside the bundle, because you are not treated as one of many — you are placed in spots where subscribers naturally pay more attention.

That includes your solo gift page, where for a full day there is nobody next to you, nobody above you, nobody competing with you for that moment of attention, meaning the person doesn’t get overwhelmed or distracted and simply sees your gift without any noise around it.

You also get the solo email, which means I send my entire audience directly to your landing page, bypassing the main bundle page altogether, which removes friction and competition and often leads to significantly higher conversions because people don’t have to “choose” — they click and land exactly where they need to be without distractions.

On top of that, you are placed at the top of the page in a special VIP category, so people see all VIP’s first, plus you’ll get first-row placement in your category, so when people scroll through the main page, you are literally the first thing they see, which matters because human behaviour is simple: they click what is visible first.

You get VIP tags on the page, VIP callouts in the promotional graphics, and highlighted placement in the contributor emails I send out, which all create additional touchpoints that normal contributors simply do not get.

You also get included in the general bundle promo in a different way, because the spotlight sections, the social posts, the teasers — all of that is designed to reinforce your visibility throughout the entire event.

So, it’s not “one perk” — it’s a whole bundle of strategic positioning advantages that add up.

In short: VIP in my events is not a decoration. It is a structural change in where and how often people see you.

And to give you context: with a list size like mine, it’s very normal to see solo email promotion spots sold for 150–300+ dollars elsewhere with NOT such features.

I price my VIP spots mostly at such a small price tag which is for this level of exposure borderline ridiculous.

Most people pay way more for one ad that disappears in 24 hours!

But I want you to have the chance to learn how visibility and leverage work without needing a big budget.

You absolutely do not have to upgrade, and you are not treated differently if you don’t.

But I want you to understand the system you are inside, so you can make an informed decision instead of guessing how bundle mechanics work.

And if it doesn’t, that’s completely fine – at least you now have a better understanding of the ‘behind the scenes’ and also, why VIP exists and what it actually changes.
